Refund and Cancellation Policy

Cancel whenever you like, straight from the app. Here is exactly what happens to your access, and when we can offer a refund.

Effective from 21 July 2026. Applies to TechSecure DigiPay, operated by TechSecure, India.

This document is drafted as a readable starting point for an Indian consumer subscription. Have a qualified lawyer review and adapt it before launch, and update the entity name, address and grievance officer details.

This policy applies to the TechSecure DigiPay subscription and forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

1. In short

You can cancel whenever you like, right from the app. Once you cancel we take no further payment, and you keep using everything until the paid period you are in runs out. There is no cancellation fee, and no lock-in to a term.

2. During the free trial

You pay nothing while the free trial is running. Cancel before it ends and you are not charged at all. Leave it running and your subscription starts the moment the trial finishes, when we take the first payment.

3. How to cancel

Cancelling only takes a moment, and you do not need to get in touch with us to do it.

  • Open TechSecure DigiPay and head to the subscription screen.
  • Select cancel, then confirm your choice.
  • The app shows you the date your access stays active until.
  • If you signed up through an app store, cancel from that store's own subscription settings.
  • Cannot reach the screen? Email admin@techsecuresoftware.com from your registered mobile number and we will cancel it for you.

4. What happens after you cancel

Renewal stops the moment you cancel. Your announcements, dashboard and reports keep working until the paid period ends, and the subscription closes on that date.

Cancelling does not wipe the payment history stored on your device. If you want a copy before you remove the app, export a PDF from the reports screen first.

5. Refunds

Each month is billed up front, for the month ahead. Since you keep full access for the rest of that month after cancelling, we do not usually refund part-used months.

We will look at a refund where:

  • we charged you after you had already cancelled, or billed you twice for the same month;
  • a fault on our side kept you from using the service for a large part of the billing month, and support could not fix it;
  • a payment was taken without your permission; or
  • the law entitles you to a refund in your situation.

6. How to request a refund

Email admin@techsecuresoftware.com within 7 days of the charge, from the mobile number registered to your account. Tell us the date and amount of the charge and briefly what went wrong. We aim to reply within 3 working days.

If we approve a refund, it goes back to the payment method you used. Your bank or payment provider normally credits it within 5 to 10 working days, which is beyond our control.

7. Announcements you did not hear

Whether an announcement plays depends on notifications reaching your device and on your own device settings. Notification access turned off, battery optimisation stopping the app in the background, silent mode, low media volume or a disconnected Bluetooth speaker will each stop an announcement — none of which is a fault in the service.

Please talk to support before asking for a refund on this basis. Nine times out of ten it comes down to a device setting we can help you fix in a couple of minutes.

8. Price changes and renewals

If we ever change the price, we tell you before it takes effect, so you can cancel ahead of your next renewal if you would rather not continue at the new price.

9. Chargebacks

Please come to us before you raise a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback can freeze your account while it is looked into, and we can usually sort the problem out faster if you deal with us directly.
